Back in 1992, when I was working in an agricultural products company, I was not just shocked but deeply saddened by the use of pesticides and fertilizers in the everyday food items.
It was not only the alarming side effect of the harmful chemicals but also the rise in farmer suicides that shaped my new thought process.
How can I make a difference? How can I grow food which is free of chemicals and pesticides?
Coming from an agricultural and farming background, I set out my quest alongside a group of colleagues who lent Sreshta Foods its passion and commitment.
The main focus from the day 1 was to produce a wide range of products so that the consumers had a wide choice for selection. Along with creating products, there was also the need to educate and encourage the consumers to make the switch to organic.
