
On 26th of March 2018 Sresta celebrated 15 years of its foundation.
A journey which began in 2004 has seen its own set of ups and downs and challenges. Which I must say, have been plenty!
Sresta was conceptualised at a time when very few people knew and thought about organic food in India. Today Sresta as an organization has been able to touch many lives, including that of our farmers, our employees, our stakeholders, and our consumers who have consciously made an effort to adopt a healthy lifestyle. I am proud to say, that our impact extends to beyond our borders, from the West to the Far East. We are contributing positively to agriculture, health and wellness and the environment.
The very purpose of celebrating our foundation day was to remind everyone about Sresta’s greater cause, i.e. positively impacting the society. As the main agenda of the programme was reconnecting to business basics, the theme of the programme was aptly named, “Back to Basics”. The programme was simultaneously organized across the country and overseas. The regional teams from their respective locations got together and connected through live streaming from Hyderabad. Bangalore, Delhi, Mumbai, Akola, Nawalgarh, Indore, Srikakulam, Hubli, Madurai, and Bhopal viewed the central function live, all thanks to technology. Also our colleagues from US subsidiaries connected through live web streaming.
I’d say, more than talking about setting business goals and expectations, our focus lies in understanding the basics and to keep building on that. “Doing little things differently every day, will help the organisation to keep moving forward”, articulated Bala, my colleague in this journey during his thought-provoking speech.
It was heartening to listen to our employee stories about their journey with the organisation. These further reinforce the belief that our employees are the most valuable assets of Sresta. It is their unwavering hard work that has made 24 Mantra a household name today. We recognized 12 employees for their long stint with Sresta. Besides this, a Certificate of Appreciation was presented to some selected employees, who were handpicked because they’ve gone beyond the call of duty, by virtue of their hard work, dedication, and all round commitment
towards the company.
The programme was finally concluded with a sumptuous lunch (of course, all organic!) and our well received corporate movie on the theme “Maa Ka Mantra” for the brand 24 Mantra Organic. Countless people have helped us through this journey. This includes farmers, consumers, employees and other supporters of our mission.
I would like to thank everyone for years of warmth, friendship, and support. We couldn’t have made it this far without you, nor can we take the next steps without your help. Hope we achieve even higher standards of quality and innovation in the future.
